The Password Game is an unhinged uphill battle against rules

Is it secure enough? Last night, I clicked on a link I saw floating around social media for something calledThe Password Game. It seemed a little neat; make a secure password against an ever-increasing set of rules. What I thought would be a momentary distraction ended up with me, and my Discord call, furiously searching Google and calculating math to try and outsmart an expanding, seemingly malicious ruleset. Our password, ultimately, failed....

The PC port of Disgaea is an absolute mess

Buggy, unplayable, simply unacceptable [Update:Since this report went out, it has come to light thatsomeof the problems may be due to issues with the Steam beta client – a problem I have never encountered with any other game. On testing, I found that not using the beta client fixed one problem: I can now turn V-sync on without the game running in slow motion. While it is nice that this problem has been identified and is now able to be resolved in future game and client updates, it doesn’t excuse the limited options menu, lack of resolution settings, or the massive amount of graphical glitches the ‘enhancements’ cause....

Developer Flying Wild Hog worked with Telltale to bringThe Walking Dead‘s ice axe into the the game as a replacement for Lo Wang’s default katana. It’s the sort of thing I’d love to see happen more frequently in games of this size where cameos aren’t quite so commonplace. And if you came for the obligatory quote from Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker, here that is....

Transformers Prime: Autobot propaganda

I’m not a huge fan of destroying my childhood memories or the magical power of nostalgia. So I had no idea that there was such a thing asTransformers: Prime, a show now well into its second season that apparently has dark and more violent themes than the original cartoon. Knowledge of its existence hasn’t made me interested in it, but it does star Adam Baldwin and Steven Blum so it can’t be completely awful....
