Tales from the Borderlands Episode 2 screenshots, we got ’em

Over 100 Atlas Mugged screenshots Another Telltale episode, another excessively large set of screenshots taken as I played through with an Xbox 360 controller while keeping my pinky finger on the F12 key.Tales from the Borderlandsstill looks great despite the aging Telltale Tool, and it still plays great after all this time since the first episode. There weren’t any huge spoilers I had to delete from the collection this time around, but as usual, looking through these before playing can give hints to the story that might be better left until later....

These new Dark Souls III screens are making me antsy

Want One of my fondest gaming memories this year is playingDark Souls III— that time where I was thefirst to beat the bossin my preview group, and Stevenbeat it without dying. Good times. These screens are making me even more antsy to try out the finished product though. There’s plenty of combat involved, as well as some campfire and chill (man I hate that Netflix variety phrase). The game is still set for an April 2016 release date in the west for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms....

This Half-Life mod reimagines the horror of the Great War trenches

Along with the originalDoom,Half-Lifeis generally regarded as one of the most influential first-person shooters of all time. That alone is enough to cement its place in gaming history. However, the continued efforts of the modding community also helps keep Valve’s classic in the limelight. In this instance, we’re being transported back to World War I, thanks to ModDB usereyeling. Although it’s not out yet, “In Mute Witness Stand” is a different take onHalf-Life, with it being set in the trenches during the Great War of 1914-1918....

Today’s update for No Man’s Sky is a doozy

Land-based vehicles and a whole lot more Just yesterday I said I’d considergetting back intoNo Man’s Skywith the next update (once I unearth myself from Q1 2017’s avalanche of amazing games), and what an update it is. This introductory video mostly focuses on the new land-based vehicles, but there’s so much more to parse through in thefull notesfor today’s Path Finder Update on PC and PlayStation 4. The things I’m most jazzed about: specializations and classes for ships and multi-tools, upgrades to make handheld and ship-based weaponry feel more unique, photo mode, visual touch-ups including PS4 Pro support, and the ability for players to share their custom-made bases online with others....

Uh oh: Nintendo warns that NES/SNES Switch Online monthly release cadence is off the table

‘Those releases will not adhere to a regular schedule’ Like the Virtual Console before it so many moons ago (RIP), Nintendo has been slowly drip-feeding us Switch Online NES suite games on a monthly basis. I’m talking two, maybethree if you’re lucky (and eat your peas) each month. But now that the SNES is in the equation, Nintendo is ditching that idea entirely. According to Nintendo’s official Japanese listing for the SNES Switch Online suite, the site now lists games as appearing “irregularly....

VirtualBoyReality Mario

A group of college kids took it upon themselves to recreate Mario using VR goggles and specially designed Power Glove rip offs. So basically, these guys combined two bombed Nintendo products (Virtual Boy and Power Glove), and created a Mario that looks worse than what the people who made theZelda games for Phillips CD-i could come with.Great. All jokes aside, they did a decent job on it. I do, however, have a feeling in the back of my mind that’s telling me this is all just staged....

Who doesn’t like this guy? The time has come for another sports game publisher to reveal their cover athlete, and 2K Games has announced that 2014 MVP Kevin Durant will grace the cover of 2K15.
