TGS 2007: Time Hollow brings anime, adventure, probably not dinosaurs to the DS

Time Hollow , a game described by myself as “Konami’s attempt at combining time travel, anime and stylus-powered adventure gaming”, combines all those things I just said andcompletely lacks dinosaurs. While time travel stories have been a staple of science fiction since the days of H.G. Wells, they often devolve into cautionary tales about why we ought not breathe on archaic butterflies lest Hitler win the war. Hopefully with a more realistic tale about a boy trying to rescue his parents after their mysterious disappearance, and the much-needed use of the Nintendo DS’ strengths as a medium for adventure gaming, the title can avoid the hackneyed clichés so prevalent in the genre....

It’s a shame as the system is pretty damn great, and the Wii U GamePad is one of my favorite controllers of all time....
