What we saw in tonight’s demonstration — backed by the promises made for online co-op play — has me feeling optimistic....
‘This fall’ We’ve heard a fair bit about theDisgaea 1remake recently, known in Japan as “Disgaea Refine.” Like the fact that it’s coming this year in the east on PS4 and Switch, or that it features remastered HD visuals, or that it’s getting a shiny new collector’s edition that’s typical of NIS. But just this morning NIS America has confirmed that it’s coming west “this fall,” so everyone will be able to get into the action without having to import it....
Take flight over a submerged world The Falconeerisn’t your everyday aerial combat game. Instead of zipping around in high-tech aircraft, you’ll take flight as a big ol’ bird in an ocean world full of warring factions, airships, and manta rays. “Using ranged weapons, the game still holds true to classic dogfighting mechanics but adds twists such as acrobatics and crazy line up of enemies to take on,” according to developer Tomas Sala....
Not just because he kicks a guy off a ledge Every major videogame these days is accompanied by a seemingly endless barrage of trailers prior to release. That’s just how things work now. A lot of it is little more than filler to keep the audience constantly reminded that a game still exists. But, some of them are worth your time. ThisAssassin’s Creed Roguestory trailer is one of those. It paints the picture of why exactly Shay Patrick Cormac turned his back on the Assassin brotherhood....
Collector Stuff The video game hardware company 8BitDo has been on a roll lately, and while its latest device is highly niche, it’s also fascinating. The company is now sellingan NES-style wireless mousefor PC and Mac. It’s as if someone reached into a wormhole to pluck this out of an alternate reality. Modern tech aside, the 8BitDo N30 looks like a real product Nintendo could’ve made. I can picture it sitting in a Nintendo Entertainment System collection next to anNES Advantageand anNES MAX....

On Friday night during the taping of the Spike Video Game Awards, we first saw the official announcement of 2K Sports’ new boxing title. Don King sashayed onto the stage, accompanied by two ring girls that held signs bearing the game’s name,Don King Presents: Prizefighter. “Tiny purple American flag peanut skillets,” said Don King as he chomped on a cigar. “Frog donkey don’t fear cranberry handshakes!” At least that’s what I thought he said....
