Nightdive’s System Shock remake has come so far It’s been a long and winding road for the future of theSystem Shockseries, but at least in the case of Nightdive Studios’ remake, the end is in sight. Along with news of a summer 2021 launch, the developer released its “final demo” for theSystem Shockremake onSteam,GOG, and theEpic Games Store. I played the demo for a bit (that’s code for “I played it until I was wiped out by cybernetic freakos”), and the latest build is noticeably creepier and feels more put-together than what I remember of the last check-in....

Series debut on new consoles Tecmo Koei sends word thatWarriors 3 Orochi 3 Ultimateis in development for the PS4 and Xbox One (both $59.99) as well as the PS3 ($49.99) and PS Vita ($39.99). This will be the series debut on the new generation of consoles, launching sometime this fall. The tactical action game will feature crossover characters from other Tecmo Koei games. Prepare for sequels Ubisoft had high hopes forWatch Dogsand it turns out they were warranted. The game had a record-breaking first 24 hours for the company, but that was just the beginning. At four million copies sold during its first week of availability,Watch Dogsis now “the best-selling new IP at launch,” according to NPD and GFK data and internal estimates.
