Treyarch gives us a look at how they gave Alcatraz a makeover The newUprisingdownloadable contentforCall of Duty: Black Ops IIis out next week and it’s going to include a new zombie mode called “Mob of the Dead.” The team at Treyarch went to Alcatraz to capture the feel of the prison for the game, and from there have given the zombie mode some new features. New stuff you can expect includes contextual music, an afterlife element that sees you flying around as a ghost, and a new zombie boss will pop up every now and then to mess up your day....

According to CD Projekt CEO Marcin Iwinski, optimistic estimations suggest thatThe Witcher 2: Assassins of Kingshas been illegally downloaded at least 4.5 million times. “I was checking regularly the number of concurrent downloads on torrent aggregating sites, and for the first 6-8 weeks there was around 20-30k people downloading it at the same time,” he said. “Let’s take 20k as the average and let’s take 6 weeks. Find random junk and call strangers Microsoft’s SmartGlass functionality kind of came and went on the Xbox 360. Very few games supported the “second screen experience” concept and if they did, it was usually something underwhelming like an interactive website. But withDead Rising 3, Capcom has attempted to make a fun companion to the game that directly interfaces with your game in a way few SmartGlass games have before. It’s far from essential, but it’s helpful when you’re in a pinch in Nightmare mode, and it also doubles as a fun way to get a little extra role-playing mileage....
