The primary skill of a central defender is to add a sheet of protection to your goal and ensure that your goalkeeper doesn’t need to experience a busy time between the sticks. While CBs tend to be slower due to their physical builds, some footballers are deceptively quick. These units can be some exciting additions, especially in modes like Ultimate Team, where they might become part of your starter squads.

The Pace attribute is ideal when you want to sort players based on their speed. The Pace stat is made of two separate attributes – Acceleration and Sprint Speed.
