Emma Frost’s kit is versatile, formed around her having two different sets of abilities in default form orDiamond Form. When she switches to Diamond Form, she not only gets damage reduction and can’t be crowd-controlled, but she gets three completely different abilities.
In her normal form, Emma’sTelepathic Pulsedeals increased damage the longer you hit an opponent, andMind’s Aegisis a projected ice shield that she can place to block off incoming fire. WithPsychic Spear, she can create an extra source of pain to enemies by creating a psychic crystal she can deal damage to.
Diamond Form is where she gets pretty fun, as her kit changes to be more melee-focused. She can get up close and personal withCarbon Crush, which is a lunge that ends in a command grab attack where she grabs the enemy by the throat and slams them. Faceted Fury is a replacement of her main attack with basic punches, whileCrystal Kickcan launch enemies into a wall for big damage.
Consider usingMagnetoorPsylocketo team up with Emma for theirMind Linkteam-up ability, which allows the other two mutants to create psychic projection doubles. These doubles will replicate the hero’s abilities as they are used, such as Magneto’s shields or bubbles and Psylocke’s damaging crossbow projectiles.
To round out her abilities, Emma’s psychic powers are in full display withPsionic Seduction. This forward-facing cone-like projectile deals damage, but the longer it stays on an enemy, it will take over their mind and force them to walk towards Emma and into her path of damage.
