Rovio’s first non-Angry Birdsflavored mobile game is finally upon us, and it takes the form ofAmazing Alex(which sadly, could have been calledThe Amazing Chadinstead). If you’re familiar withthe Goldbergian devicesof 90s PC seriesThe Incredible Machine, you’ll have some idea of what the game is about.
From what I’ve played, it actually does a better job of distilling the fun of the 90s classics than Disney’s new iOS version ofThe Incredible Machine. I doubt it will take off likeAngry Birdsdid, but then again, not much would.
Although the game came out yesterday, it had a fairly large bug for many iOS users that involved a constantly freezing error loop of “this game is not recognized by Game Center”. Amazingly enough, this has already been patched as of this morning.
