Lethal Companyis one of the most fun ways to lose years of your life by abusing your heart’s tolerance for jumpscares. Don’t take it from me, take it from the millions of players who seemingly got addicted to pissing their pants and carried this indie horror gem to thetop of the Steam charts.
In all honesty,Lethal Companydoesn’t need anything more to grant you hundreds of hours of fun. Still, we need to see how high we can go, like Icarus, so here are the bestLethal Companymods you can find right now.
Gamemaster
Gamemasterbasically imbues the host of a match with the powers to create life, albeit of the ungodly kind. This mod allows the host to spawn whatever monster he wants at will, meaning that it allows for the creation of personalized hellscapes for all of your guests.
More Company/Bigger Lobby
When we like one thing, our possibly wrong, but forgivably human response is to try and get more of said thing. One ofLethal Company‘s possible long-term limitations is that it only allows for teams of up to four players at the time of this writing. TheBiggerLobbyandMore Companymods provide a simple but beautiful change of pace that opens the floodgates and allows for teams of up to 40 goddamn players.
If you’re mindful that this mod requires that every person in your lobby has the same version of the mod installed and that it can cause stability issues, then you’re in for a new experience as hilariously terrifying as the game itself.
Mimics
If I’m to describe this one in a non-spoiler-y but still ominously vague way, I’ll just say that Mimics require players to partake in some sleuthing if they want to avoid the most chaotic death I’ve seen in Lethal Company.
Speaking of mods that ensure you never trust anyone or anything again, there’s a fanmade Mimic tweak. I explained the whole shebang in myMimic mod tips, along with all the spoilers, but I assure you that going in completely oblivious provides some of the best jumpscares you’ve ever had in a game.
Brutal Company
If you’re one of the legendary galactic scrappers who somehow find this game lacking in the challenge department, then you should perhaps give the Brutal Company mod a go.
Is the onslaught of deadly monsters that you get onhazard level S+not enough? Then install this mod to add a bunch of random events that will make your stay at these exomoons challenging to the point that it might become permanent. Brutal company is a beautifully chaotic next step for fans of this game.
More Suits
Though not really a technical shortcoming, some foundLethal Companylacking in the suits department. While I don’t think you can falter a small indie team for not featuring dozens of different outfits like an AAA title would, I’d be lying if I said I don’t want to die while wearing the goofiest outfit possible.
In other words,this is the modthat you’re looking for if you miss the aesthetics ofAmong Us.There is absolutely nothing sus about it, and you should totally try it out if you want to make your deadly adventures inLethal Companyeven more hilarious.
Game Settings
Lethal Companysuffers from the lack of various settings options, which, again, you can totally attribute to the fact that the game isn’t fully out yet. That’s no real problem, however, asthis usefulmod grants players a bunch of customization options that can vastly improve one’s experience with the game.
Skinwalkers
If you’re looking for a mod that makes your averageLethal Companysession go from scary to terrifying, you can do no better thanSkinwalkers. Once it’s running, you’ll not only worry about the perils normally associated with the game’s monsters, but also about the very likely possibility that they might be mimicking your teammates’ voices. It’s a good way to exacerbate trust issues.
This mod requires a little more work than your average mod to get running, but I’ havedetailed the installation process alreadyfor those of you interested. You can trust me! I swear I’m not a mimic.
ShipLoot
This is yet another map that might bring players some quality-of-life improvements.Lethal Companyis all about gathering and selling scrap to meet a quota. That’s not easy as the same kind of scrap willsell for different valuesin different instances, and the game isn’t great at conveying that information to the player before it is too late. It sucks that you may do a near-perfect round and still fail to meet the quota because of a slight variation in scrap value that you couldn’t have predicted. ShipLoot shows you the total value of the scrap you currently own, which fixes that unfair problem.ShipLootis a very simple add-on, but it can make a whole world of difference.
LateCompany
This is one of the mods that will do more for your quality of life inLethal Company.Reinforcements are always a great thing, and theLateCompanymod makes it a reality by allowing friends to enter your game even after it has already begun.
Pinger
Lethal Companyis all about teamwork, but it falters a bit in terms of mechanics that actually encourage that teamwork.Pingerallows players to warn their teammates about looming threats or relevant pieces of loot. One could argue that it dissolves the game’s intended clunkiness, but I find it a worthy addition.
Better Stamina
If you findLethal Companya bit unfair when it comes to the dead time spent carrying stuff around, then consider giving theBetter Staminamod a chance. It juices your character up and improves both their stamina and stamina-recovering abilities.
One more thing
Other quality-of-life mods improve yourUI,walkie-talkie, and even yourflashlight. They are good, but I believe that those make the game easier in a way that breaks some of the intended difficulty of the experience. Still, I’m not here to judge you, so feel free to mod the game however you want!

First, head over toThunderstore’s pagefor the mod in question. You’ll need three things. Click to manually download:
Extract the contents of these folders to your Lethal Company installation folder. Some other mods might require other specific plugins, but they’ll warn players about that.
These you’ll only need to download once, as they’re the plugins that will get your mods to work. Then, you’ll just need the mod in question. Once again, you should click to manually download and then extract the contents of the mod’s folder to yourLethal Company‘s installation folder.
To find the installation folder, go to your Steam library, left-click onLethal Company, and choose properties. A window will pop up. Pick the Installed Files tab and click on Browse.
