From the designer of Closure

What a pleasant little surpriseBombernautsis turning out to be. It’s an online multiplayer game in which players attempt to knock one another off a platform that can be chipped away with bombs. So many bombs. In fact, there isn’t a limit to how many can be thrown. The part I most like the sound of is that, once slain, you become a ghost that can throw ghost bombs and, after a successful kill, you’ll return to the battlefield as a zombie. Last one standing wins.

Bombernautsis being made by Tyler Glaiel ofClosurefame, if you may believe it. The team also has artist Sven Ruthner and composer Danny Baranowsky on board (that Icanbelieve). Although online multiplayer is the focus, local play is on the team’s to-do list, as are custom game modes and power-up customization “similar to theSuper Smash Bros.series.”

If you’re liking the sound of this all, the game will be released on Steam next year.
