Presumably folks are just having fun with it, but I like to imagine one of the bidders is an eccentric millionaire named Tufty Windsmear who genuinely wants the artificial controller to add to his growing collection of extravagantly priced pretend electronics. It shall enjoy pride of place, next to his cheese laptop and woolen iPad.
