Vertigois one of thesecret locationsinFisch, and toenter it, you’ll have todive into one of the Strange Whirlpoolsthat spawn around themap(you’ll get a notification saying, “A strange whirlpool has opened…”). It’s always somewhere aroundRoslit Bay,Terrapin Island,Harvester’s Spike, andMoosewood. You’ll recognize it by thevertical pillar of lightgoing out of it and into the sky.
Note that there are alsoregular whirlpoolsspawning around the map, and jumping into those will just lead you todeath. If you jump into one by accident, quicklyleave the gameandlog back into avoid money loss.

The Depths Door – How to Enter The Depths in Vertigo
To enterthe DepthsinFisch, you’ll have to go through thedoorin thered areanext to the pond at the bottom of Vertigo. To open the door, you’ll need akeythat you canfish out randomly while in Vertigoor from theStrange Whirlpooland100%Vertigo bestiarycompletion(gifted fish do count for this bestiary check).
Talk with theNPCon the right to open the door once you’ve fulfilled the requirements. Also, thedoor will stay open foreverafter you unlock it for the first time. So, you can sell the extra keys you find.
Does the Depths Door Open for Everyone on the Server?
No, opening the door to The Depths doesn’t open it for the whole server. So, if you want to go inside with your friends, each one of you will have to have a key.

FarmingCarbon Crateswith a Magnet Rod is a fairly reliable way to farm money inFischuntil you get the Mythical Rod, and they seem to have an increased rate of spawning in Vertigo. So, equip aMagnet RodwithMagnetbait, and start fishinganywhere inside the pondat the bottom. Open everything you catch to get a bunch ofcashandbaits.
How to Enter the Secret Area in Vertigo
There is a secret area within Vertigo you’re able to visit to get anexclusive title. To reach it, follow theledge to the Synth NPC’s right sideandjumpto across theholetowards the end of the road. Then, follow the narrow passage until you reach anotherwhirlpool. Jump in it to get “The Drowned” title.
Also, if you have aglider, which you can buy onRoselit BayforC$900(right beside theAlbino Merchant), you can reach the side beyond the whirlpool and find thePerdido NPC. He doesn’t say much for now, but his dialogue indicates he might become useful sometime in the future.
