The best have been named, now we wait for the best of the best to be crowned. Next month, 2019’s most outstanding games duke it out for grandeur at The Game Awards. Three weeks prior, we’re told who’s allowed in the octagon.

It received nine nominations across the awards show’s 29 categories (although seven of those categories are dedicated to esports and content creators). Remedy’sControlis right behindDeath Strandingwith eight nominations.
