It’s been pretty well established in the survival horror community thatDino Crisisis themost-wanted Capcom revivalin the company’s entire back catalog. However, no matter how hard fans want it, the studio just doesn’t seem willing to give us a new entry. For now, we can at least stick with the original game.
Dino Crisis is now available to Buy on PS4/PS5 ($9.99) or available for free if you owned it on PSP/PS3/PSVpic.twitter.com/jJCoJYdhL1

Over on thePS Storeitself, I’m seeing the game on sale for £7.99 ($9.99) or free if you have a Premium membership. It should be said that this isn’t a remaster as such. However, the description does say you can enjoy enhanced up-rendering, as well as “rewind, quick save, and custom video filters.” All that fancy modern stuff.

As if that wasn’t enough, the same user also noted that the Director’s Cut of the firstResident Evilgame is also now available on the storefront. Again, it’ll set you back $9.99, but is free if you have a PS Plus Premium subscription. Both games have been converted from their original PlayStation 1 versions, and are playable on PS4 and PS5.
As for the future ofDino Crisis, directorShinji Mikamihas said he was surprised to learn so many people wanted to see the franchise make a return. Sadly, with the success ofMonster Hunter, Mikami doesn’t feel another series about fighting large scaly monsters needs to flood the market, so a newDino Crisis(or possible remake) doesn’t feel like it’s on the horizon any time soon.

But that won’t stop the steely determination of the modding community. When last we checked, fans were already in the process of making their ownunofficialDino Crisisgames. However, whether we’ll see any of these at some point in the future remains to be seen.
