Right now, you can nabFinal Fantasy VII: Rebirthfrom the US Amazon sitefor $54.99. I’ve checked my home and native land Canada’s site, and it’s marked down to $69.99 Canadian Loonies. It’s also discounted on Amazon in Germany and the UK.
It’s a decent price for a grand and varied adventure. It’s a lot of adventure. Maybe too much. But it’s a very different sort of adventure compared toFinal Fantasy VII: Remake. Sure, it still features the same mechanics, characters, and feel. Sure, it’s a continuation of the previous story (and the middle part of a trilogy), but both tonally and in terms of setting, it’s an entirely new ballgame. Also, there’s lots of time to appreciate Barrett. Barrett’s so great.

There’s no doubt this won’t be the last time you’ll be able to grab it at a discount, but if you’ve been itching to get it without completely depleting your funds, it’s a good opportunity. It probably won’t be permanently reduced for quite a while, especially with ports to other platforms that might be coming next year.
