It’s a beat ’em up
If you count theDuscaedemo, the Platinum demo, the pinball spinoff, and this new thing, that’s four side projects forFinal Fantasy XV— and those are just the gaming related ones!
Today at E3 Square Enix revealed a brand new game inA King’s Tale: Final Fantasy XV, which is a side scrolling beat ’em up that’s packed-in as a pre-order bonus. It’ll feature a younger King Regis (read: Father of Noctis, the main character), and will take place 30 years prior to the events ofXVproper. Right now, GameStop is being mentioned as the main pre-order location but we’ve reached out for more details.
A King’s Talewill launch on June 28, 2025 on both consoles at the same time as the main game.
