It’s a surprisingly good game!
Steel Wool Studios is bringingFive Nights at Freddy’s Help Wantedto Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Oculus Quest “in the next couple of months.”In a short blog post, the team said that “things are very fluid with the COVID-19 pandemic,” but for the time being, “everything is currently on schedule.”
If you’re confused, some quick housekeeping: yes, this was originally conceived as a VR-only game.

Since I reviewedHelp Wantedon PlayStation VRlast year, the developer came out with an update to make VR optional with a new “flat” mode. The game is a collection of scenes, set pieces, and stories inspired byFive Nights at Freddy’s 1,2,3,4, andSister Location, and it ended up being one of my favorite VR experiences of 2019. If you’re a Quest owner, I would try to keep tabs on the upcoming port.
The non-VR ports won’t be as impactful, but fans might still want to add this to their Switch collection.Help Wantedwas the firstFive Nightsgame to truly draw me in – it’s enjoyable even as a newcomer.

And when I say “enjoyable,” I meanunsettling. Imagine solving wire and gear puzzles in a dimly-lit shaft while a dagger-toothed animatronic clown tries to sneak up on you in one of a few possible vents.
