Fortnite Reloadis a brand new game mode for Epic Games’ battle royale title. It allows a squad of four players to drop into a game and fight for survival, making it one of the most action-packed experiences in the game. However, before it goes live, there’s going to be some downtime.
Fortnite‘s downtimes and server maintenance times are well-known for lasting longer than expected. Almost every time a new season is released, the downtime and maintenance run over when it was originally meant to end before server queues ensure only a few fans get into the game on release day.Fortnite Reloadis just a new game mode, but I suspect it’s so highly anticipated that we’ll see a similar situation unfold.

This means that the game mode should go live after the first concert of the day. However,Fortnite‘s new game modes and seasons don’t always launch smoothly. If additional downtime and maintenance are required, I’ll update this article with the information we’re given.
According to the officialFortniteTwitter account,Fortnite Reloadshould be live onJune 22, 2024, after the first in-game concert has finished at roughly 2 PM ET. This means you must jump into the game before 2 PM ET and then watch the concert event. When it’s over and you’ve been booted back to the main menu, you should seeFortnite Reloadas a new game mode you can play.
What isFortnite Reload?
Fortnite Reloadis a game mode inFortnitein which ten squads of four players each drop onto the map and battle it out for a Victory Royale. It’s sure to be far more chaotic than a standard match, especially withfree PS Plus multiplayer available on the game’s launch weekend. However, it also allows more friends to coordinate and work together, similar to how they can inRainbow Six SiegeorCall of Duty.
Players will have revive timers for most of the match, though they’ll be removed as it comes to a close in the final few storm circles. Squads can revive each other or lower their revive timers by killing other players.
I’m looking forward to being able to matchmake with three other players, drop onto the map, and immediately hop into a car to pick them all up. I can’t imagine anything better, especially with a new map and much more to explore alongside the game mode.
