If current plans hold,Uncharted 2: Among Thieveswon’t be the last we’ll hear of digital adventurer Nathan Drake. Speaking toPlayStation.blogduring PAX, Naughty Dog creative director Amy Hennig confirmed that the follow-up toUncharted: Drake’s Fortunedoesn’t conclude Drake’s story and there’s room for other titles in the “franchise” if people want more.

“It doesn’t conclude the story at all,” said Hennig. “The expectation withUncharted 2is that it can be an ongoing franchise as long as people want more of it. All these stories are self-contained.”

“You don’t have to play the last one to play this one. Obviously, you’re going to get a little bit more out of it if you have. But [Drake]’s going to have a lot of adventures, thank god.”

Good news to hear! Now we can convert ourUncharted 3: Nathan Drake versus the Space Dragonsfan fiction into a proper videogame pitch. We get so giddy when sequels are almost confirmed.
