In honor of St. Patrick’s Day (and regularly getting shown up byRock Band) Activision has released a free track pack of three Dropkick Murphys songs. The pack consists of master tracks of “Famous for Nothing”, “Johnny, I Hardly Knew Ya”, “Flannigan’s Ball”, and disappointment that you can’t sing or drum along with the aforementioned tunes.
While new (and especially free) DLC forGuitar Hero IIIis usually welcomed with open arms by those not fortunate (or spendy) enough to ownRock Band, I have to echo the sentiments of one of myinimitable co-editorsin saying this really is too little too late. Each announcement of newGuitar Hero IIIcontent, rather than filling me with glee at having new songs to play, makes me that much more apathetic toward the franchise, and pushes me closer to finally ponying up the dough for a more well-rounded music game experience.
