Horsepower coming to consoles

It’s taken almost five long years, but indie outfit Mane6 has announced that its equestrian hoof-’em-up is kickin’ the dirt, snortin’ steam, and getting ready to let rip on console platforms —Them’s Fightin’ Herdswillfinallycome galloping onto PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch platforms this fall.

Originally released forSteam Early Accessway back in 2018, before receiving its full PC release in the spring of 2020,Them’s Fightin’ Herdsis a hyper-stylized 2D fighter that sees some very silly mares duking it out in some hard hoofin’ one-on-one action. From crazy-eyed alpacas and magical unicorns, to yee-hawing ponies and even agrumpy lil’ goat,TFHcombines cartoon quality art and animation with solid, old-school mechanics for a unique fighting game experience.

Originally conceived as aMy Little Pony: Friendship is Magicfan game, developer Mane6 quickly readjusted its design plans when Hasbro lawyers came a’callin. This proved to be the best thing that could happen for the project, however, and with fresh designs fromFriendship is Magiccreator Lauren Faust at hand, the Mane6 team embarked on its own original scrapper. A true passion project,Them’s Fightin’ Herdshas seen more intensive and passionate developer support than many fighters 50 times its size and popularity.
