The MOBA genre has seen a significant rise in popularity over the last few months and withDota 2andBlizzard Dotaon their way fans of the once niche game will soon have even more options for their 5-on-5 strategy action. Warner Brothers have decided to throw their proverbial hat in the ring withGuardians of Middle Earthbased on theLord of the Ringsmythos, and we’ve got the new trailer in all of it’s good vs. evil glory. Sadly, evil’s never allowed to come out on top.
Guardians of Middle Earthisn’t the first MOBA to grace the console space, but it’s still a relatively untouched market and itdoescome bearing Tolkien’s beloved license so I’m sure it’ll find its fanbase. After all, I’ve yet to grow tired of the genre so if ever there was a time to release a licensed entry to the niche, it’s probably now, before we’re all sick of it.
