True or dare

From the minds of studio Round8 Studio and publisherNeowiz, comes a bizarre-looking but very intriguing game calledLies of P— shown off again at the Gamescom Opening Night Live stream today. As an action-adventure game with a crazy post-apocalyptic steampunk world, this is instantly going to be popping up on some radars, if it hasn’t already. In fact,I kind of just forgot about it for a while.

In any case, we have more to go off of than the prior early gameplay and the promising story trailer. Now we have more cold hard footage. While it’s hard to truly tell how the innards of an action game work until you’re actually playing it (and the framerate is revealed and laid bare), it’s promising so far. I mean even if the action bits aren’t up to snuff, the story seems like it’ll go to some cool places. That’s the hope anyway! Maybe they can nail both; they have plenty of time to get it right.
