Ghost Recon: Future Soldierisn’t terribly far away — it’ll be releasing on consoles in late May — but there’s still apparently plenty of time to push out a beta for the multiplayer. That’ll be starting on April 19 and continuing until May 2 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
At the beginning, players will have access to the Rifleman, Engineer and Scout classes and the objective-based Conflict mode. Then, starting April 26, the beta will open up Saboteur, a mode in which teams search for the same bomb and attempt to detonate it in the enemy’s base.

So, how do you get in on this action? In theory, it shouldn’t be too tough. If you ownSplinter Cell: Convictionfor 360, you may get to thebeta from the game; otherwise, you can pre-orderFuture Soldierfrom GameStop. For PS3, you’ll need to be a PlayStation Plus member to get a key.
Ubisoft also announcedGhost Recon Network, which is described as a free companion app for mobile devices and web browsers. Using this, players can customize and share weapons, track a variety of stats, make use of community features, and earn weapons and skins. Good on you for making this free.
