Where to find the Teal Dragon and Black Pegasus in Disney Dreamlight Valley

At the time of writing, Gameloft hasn’t implemented the Teal Baby Dragon and Black Pegasus intoDisney Dreamlight Valley: The Storybook Vale. Despite the expansion’s story concluding during its July 9 update, The Unwritten Realms, these two critters have yet to arrive. They’re most likely to spawn as either event-exclusive creatures or in a later patch.

Typically, all Baby Dragons appear in Everafter, while Pegasus spawn in Mythopia. You’ll unlock these biomes after progressing throughThe Storybook Vale’squestline. However, even after you finish the expansion’s story, odds are, you won’t find these two immediately. From this point onward, it’s just a matter of waiting for additional information from Gameloft.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Storybook Vale expansion roadmap

The Unwritten Realms is described as a story involving a “strange world beneath the Storybook Vale.” You’re sent to completely different dimensions throughout the second half of this adventure, with Maleficent and Princess Aurora being the two main characters within it. The Teal Baby Dragon and Black Pegasus may not be here, but they’re likely to appear sometime soon.

The most likely scenario is that they’ll arrive in Everafter and Mythopia after an update and share biomes with a pre-existing companion. For example, the Teal Baby Dragon may appear in The Wild Woods but be much rarer than its blue counterpart.

Teal Dragon and Black Pegasus hangout bonuses

DuringDisney Dreamlight Valley’sMysteries of Skull Rock base game update, animal companion bonuses came along as a side feature, letting you level up your critters and receive special rewards. They also perform activities depending on the critter type. InThe Storybook Vale’scase, critterspick up Snippetswhile you’re hanging out with them.

At least, that’s what normally happens. While the Black Pegasus has this same bonus, the Teal Baby Dragon instead has a “pick up ore” bonus. Right now, it’s unknown why that’s the case. There’s a chance Gameloft will change this to the usual Snippet bonus later. So far, there’s been no sign of it being part of The Unwritten Realms’ storyline. These two critter types could be especially unique, but only time will tell whether this is the case.
