Upon accepting Keshkwa’s invitation to become a Viper, he’ll kit your Warrior of Light out with several new, left side equipment pieces. It’s not the end of the world if you can’t do better than this, but you’ll definitely need a set of accessories for those right side slots.

To get the best Gear for Viper at level 80, head toEulmore (X: 10.2, Y:11.8), and speak with Aymark. Viper uses Aiming and Scouting gear, shared with Bard, Dancer, Machinist, and Ninja, so ask to see his Disciples of War Item Level 530 equipment.

You’ll need4,055 Tomestones of Poeticsto complete the iLvl 530 Augmented Cryptlurker set for Viper. If you only want the right side accessories, it’ll cost 1,400 Poetics, while the left side is 2,655 Poetics.
Remember, this isn’t a hard and fast requirement for casually leveling Viper. It’s just a nice way to get a little extra DPS in, along with a nice HP boost should you linger long in the danger zone. The set grows dated fast, too. But if you’re just sitting on Tomestones, what’s the harm?
What to do with Discontinued Tomestones inDawntrail
Before you go trading in old Tomestones for old relic ingredients or anything else of the sort, consider getting a few upgrades first for your Level 80 Viper. You’ll likely already have Poetics store just from those newFFXIVduties, but you can still trade inEndwalker’sold Tomestones for even more; just make sure you spend what you’ve got to avoid overcapping.
