Shock horror what a surprise

In the latest of a long line of hideously public oh-my-God-will-this-ever-fecking-end-I-love-Mummy-and-Daddy-equally-why-won’t-they-stop-fighting spats since Hideo Kojima parted ways with Konami, the publisher has now removed all Kojima Productions branding from the cover ofMetal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

The new cover, spotted byNeoGAF, was uploaded by Konami yesterday. Here, compare ’em yourself. This was the original cover:

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Painis scheduled to release on PlayStation 3 and 4, and Xbox 360 and One, on September 1. The PC release follows a little later on September 15.

Unless Konami decides to pull the plug on it beforehand. Who knows what it’ll do next.
