During today’s Level 5 Vision 2024 online event, developer Level 5 announced that the latest entry into theFantasy Lifeseries,Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Timehas been delayed until April 2025. Prior to this announcement, the social life sim RPG was expected to be released in just over two weeks on October 10.
In traditionalFantasy Lifefashion,The Girl Who Steals Timetasks players with creating their own character and then leveling a variety of combat, gathering, and crafting jobs in a massive open-world RPG. In total,Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Timefeatures 14 jobs in total, including the brand new Artist and Farmer jobs.
As of now, the only platform that has been confirmed forThe Girl Who Steals Timeis the Nintendo Switch, which is honestly the perfect platform for aFantasy Lifegame. The original RPG on DS felt like the perfect handheld life sim RPG, and I’m sureThe Girl Who Steals Timewill utilize the Switch functionality to do the same.
Also, for the first time in the series, players will be able to play online and locally with up to four friends, inviting them to their own personal crafted island and then work together on resource-gathering quests. It sounds veryAnimal Crossing-esque in that regard. There is also 2 player “couch co-op” if you have a second controller, allowing one to join as a travel companion.
