I’m going to go out on a limb and say thatLittleBigPlanetis shaping up to be a pretty good game. In fact, I’m going to go ahead and spill the beans.LBPwill probably be a commercial success. Apparently associate producer for the game, Eric Fong, is thinking along the same lines as I am. In an interview withgamesindutry.biz, Fong believes that the success of the game will lead to hardware sales.
It’s going to be a hardware seller. Not only do you have the platforming experience that a lot of other games will have, you have this creativity that really is exclusive to LittleBigPlanet.

I’m partial to the ideas ofLittleBigPlanet, and I was really hooked when I saw the ingenuity utilized during theSony Press Conference at E3this year. Yet, will the great ideas and success lead to sales of the PlayStation 3? It doesn’t seem likeLBPwill have the same effect that aHaloorMariotitle does for their respective machines in terms of name recognition, which goes quite a long way. What do you guys think? For those of you without a PS3, will you be getting one whenLBPhits?
