No, it isn’t April 1st

Funko Pop figures came out of literally nowhere and have ballooned into this massive sales juggernaut. With deformed interpretations of literally everything pop culture, I suppose it was only a matter of time that we’d see an officially branded cereal from the company. I didn’t expect thatMega ManandCupheadwould be getting their own edible oats, though.

Coming this summer, “FunkO’s” will be launching in an effort to put the “fun back in breakfast.” There will be six different flavors based on some popular Funko figurine, withCupheadandMega Manbeing the only game related offerings. You’ll also be able to find a Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees and Gollum (fromLord of the Rings) cereal to further drag yourself into the rabbit hole of being pop culture obsessed. Each box will come with a mini Funko figurine, which is bound to become a hassle if you actually end up enjoying the flavors.

For some damn reason, each cereal is exclusive to a certain retailer because why put these in supermarkets?Mega Manwill be available at GameStop,Cupheadwill be stocked at Hot Topic, Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees will be lurking around FYE, Gollum will be stroking rings at BoxLunch and the main “Freddy FunkO” line will be available from the Funko website. There is no price mentioned, but I can’t imagine anyone would be crazy enough to charge more than $6 for a box of cereal.
