A future, bigger-budget “Controlgame” is also lined up
Remedy Entertainment’sControluniverse will continue to expand. The studiohas announcedit’s signed a co-publishing and developing agreement with publisher 505 Games for a multiplayer spin-off ofControl, as well as future plans for a bigger-budget “Control-game.”
The multiplayer project, currently codenamed Condor, will be a four-player cooperative PvE game. It’s being developed using Remedy’s Northlight engine, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Aletter from Mikael Kasurinen, game director of theControlfranchise, expanded a little bit on Remedy’s aims for Condor. He says the Vanguard team has already been working on the concept, and that he believes Remedy can “create shared experiences without compromising the unique DNA of who we are, or the stories we want to tell.” Included in the letter was a piece of concept art, that Kasurinen said the team feels “tells pretty well what Condor is about.”
Also mentioned is the “bigger-budgetControlgame.” Remedy and 505 aren’t saying more about it right now, but Kasurinen does say they have more, “something ambitious.”

It looks like Remedy’s set to buildControlfrom a single game and some DLC—whichcoincidentally ties in another Remedy property—into a much larger world and franchise. From concept art alone, I already dig the idea of the punch-card bureaucracy-meets-cosmic unknowable horrors of the Federal Bureau of Control being turned into a PvE game.
