Shadow of the Colossus influence still apparent

When wefirst sawFossil Echoearlier this year, all we really had to go on was its sharp cartoon art style and a list of influences:Shadow of the Colossus, Studio Ghibli films, andOddworld. Some of those influences were apparent; the main character design looks like a direct homage to Wander fromShadow of the Colossus, and the eerie environments do evoke Miyazaki in a way. TheOddworldinfluence was not as easy to spot, but it is more apparent now.

On his way to climb the tower, the boy at the center of the story employs platforming and stealth in two dimensions, not unlike Abe from the first twoOddworldtitles. No word yet if there will be a fart button.
