Find the missing inn owner
When you first arrive in Kakariko Village inTears of the Kingdom, what you might notice is that local inn’s owner is missing. This sets off a side quest for you to locate and bring back the inn owner, while earning yourself an impressive reward in the process. Here’s what you need to do.
Out of the Inn quest guideTOTK
First off, to begin this quest, you need to head toKakariko Village. When you arrive here, you can find the inn in town, but the problem is the owner is gone. This starts the Out of the InnTOTKquest where you need to find and bring back the owner.
The only clue you have is that the owner went to help the survey team at one of the several Ring Ruins sites around the town.
Where to find the camp
Before you’re able to do anything else, you need to find the site that the inn owner headed to. To save you some time, the location of the inn owner is the survey team site northwest of the town, just north of Lantern Lake. You can find it at the coordinates of approximately (1736, -0901, 0199).
Once you arrive here, you’ll find a massive mountain with lots of scaffolding and ladders. You’ll want to climb up them until you reach the scaffolding where the tents are gathered. There are two characters here, one of which is the sleeping inn owner.
Speak with the other person, Gordi, and you’ll find out that the only way to wake up the inn owner for this quest is to find a hearty truffle. This is an elusive food material that is quite valuable for creating recipes that give you extra hearts.
How to get a hearty truffle
Thankfully, if youdon’tcurrently have a hearty truffle in your possession, then there is a location nearby for you to find one. Gordi lets you in on a hint that there is a hearty truffle by the waterfall in the town. Head to the waterfall in Kakariko Village and there is a way to climb up it.
When you get to the top, there is a tiny hole you can crouch and enter to find a hidden cave. Follow the linear path here to the room at the end of the cave where a Bubbulfrog with a Bubbul Gem is located.
There is also a platform-like rock in the middle of the room. On the side of this platform is a hearty truffle for you to pick up. Bring it back to the survey site and drop it next to the inn owner to wake him up. Head back to the inn in Kakariko Village to complete the quest and earn a sticky elixir.
