Most of the 111 basic Pals inPalworldhave an Alpha variant, either as an overworld Alpha battle or at the end ofdungeonsacross Palpagos. They drop the same things as their counterpart Pals, but they also offer additional rewards making them worth the hassle.
Whether you’re on the hunt forLegendary Schematics, want to get your hands on some helpfulaccessories, or simply want to stock up onAncient Civilization Parts, some Alpha Pals offer better rewards than others. It just depends on what you’re looking for.
Rather than list every single possible Alpha Pal currently in Palworld, I’m going to focus solely on Overworld Alpha Pals, as these are the only guaranteed encounters. These Overworld Alpha Pals can be found either wandering the wilds or in their ownSealed Realms.
Overworld Alpha Pals
There are a total of 40 Overworld Alphas to find and defeat inPalworld. These Pals have much greater health than others, and once you’ve defeated an Alpha Pal in the wild, you’ll have a bit of a wait before challenging them again. They respawn once an hour, but considering how many of them there are, you can work through them on a cycle and quickly gather up a large amount of resources.
Level 1 – 29 Alpha Pals
These Alpha Pals can be taken on pretty early, even marginally underleveled if you’re using a Pal whose type is strong against that of the Alpha Pal.
Level 30 – 44 Alpha Pals
These fights take a little more preparation. Once you hit this point, you’re going to want to make sure you have appropriate weapons and ensure that your Pals aren’t under-leveled. These Pals may be further afield than those mentioned previously, so be sure to have some appropriate Heat or Cold Resistant Armor with you before venturing to find them.
Level 45 – 50 Alpha Pals
These Alpha Pals take you to the furthest reaches of the map, testing your skills and your Pals’. These are among the hardest battles you may face outside of the Tower Boss Duos, and these Alpha Pals offer some amazing drops.
Level 50 – 60 Alpha Pals
As part of both the Sakurajima (June 2024) and Feybreak (December 2024) updates, new Alpha Pals were added toPalworldto hunt down and defeat or capture. In total, a further 25 we added to the roster, all of which have their own specific resource drops. These high-level Alpha Bosses don’t drop as many items as those that came before, and drop rates are currently unknown, but here’s the full list of Alpha Pals and what theydodrop:
