Moments ago we got word fromthis manabout some video he shot at this last weekend’s PAX 2007. Even amongst people who attended the event, the presence of Herr Boll was the sort of whispered rumor that would pass from person to person as if they were speaking of a Jabberwocky in their midst. While the German auteur has yet to rend anyone limb from limb, his work has left psychological scars Lewis Carroll could only dream of — in between moments of touching little girls.

I have to say, with as much vitriol as the audience threw at the guy, he earned a whole new level of respect, at least from me. To have the balls to enter a room where you’re functionally public enemy number one and not attempt to punch children in the head … well that’s more self-control than I will ever have.
