You’ll still need to catch Pokemon on iPhone

There weremurmursthat Niantic had dropped its long-promised Apple Watch support forPokémon Go, but just this week, the company confirmed that news on that front was “coming soon.”

Today, it has: you’ll now be able to interact withGousing the wrist-based device.

Notably, if you encounter wild Pokémon on your Apple Watch, you’ll still have to catch the critters as you normally would on your iPhone. Kind of expected, I think. At least there’s Egg functionality.
