Puzzle & Dragons Zshipments have exceeded the 1.5 million mark, GungHo Online announced today.
The Nintendo 3DS iteration of GungHo Online’s trendy role-playing puzzle game launched last December, topping charts in its opening weekend and scored more than800,000 salesin its first fortnight on the Japanese market.
Prior to the title’s release, GungHo Online boss Kazuki Morishita announced his company endeavored to sell at least one million copies ofPuzzle & Dragons Z. Mission accomplished, I’d say.
Of course, the success of the mobile version absolutely dwarfs that of its 3DS companion. As of November 2013, the originalPuzzle & Dragonshad been downloadedmore than 23 million timesacross North America, Japan, and Korea, makingludicrousamounts of money along the way.
A western release ofPuzzle & Dragons Zis confirmed to be in the cards, but no concrete details have emerged regarding the localization or when it might arrive.
