For Free Comic Book Day
Free Comic Book Day is a pretty fun nationwide event that hits once a year. In essence, a bunch of different franchises have a few free issues to choose from, and most comic book stores across the US participate in giving away goodies and said comics. It’s a promotional event, but it’s also social, and an excuse for comic book creators to craft new series.
Capcom and Udon have done just that withStreet Fighter V, which will be debuting a special one-shot issue that focuses on Rashid, Laura, Birdie, Karin, and Charlie Nash. You’ll be able to pick it up on May 7.
For those who aren’t aware, “one-shot” refers to a one-off standalone issue that sometimes (but not always) leads to a new series.
