Don’t you, forget about it
Normally, when we’re talking about gaming, November is the month to beat. This is when most, if not all, of the heavy hitters of the industry release, trying to get as much of that holiday cash as possible. That’s a normal year, but the second half of 2018 is anything but normal because ofRed Dead Redemption 2. The oft-delayed western is an absolute monster. It already scared this year’sCall of Dutyout of its normal release period and now I can’t help but think more titles are trying to get out the door before it drops at the end of the October.
Maybe that’s why September is turning into the hottest month in gaming. Over the past week or so we’ve seen confirmations for the releases ofDragon Quest XI,Spider-Man, and the long-rumored/recently confirmedSpyro Reignited Trilogy. Those three huge titles join another behemoth inShadow of the Tomb Raider. Now, yet another game is staking its claim in the September calendar.

Announced during its PAX East panel, NIS America confirmedSNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzywill drop on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on September 7, akaSpider-Manday. Daring release date if you ask me, one that harkens back to July 06, 2025 when Capcom thought it best to releaseTatsunoko vs. Capcomon the same day asMass Effect 2andMAG.
Here’s to hoping people don’t forget about it because I had a lot of fun with the game when I played a preview of it earlier this year. Consider me a day-one purchase, but if you’re not on board yet, perhaps this trailer featuring new addition to the roster Shermie fromThe King of Fighterswill change your mind.
