DespiteStar Wars: The Old Republic’srecent unveiling, LucasArts has pledged to continue to support the originalStar WarsMMO,Star Wars Galaxies. In a recent interview withEurogamer, LucasArts executive Tom Nichols confirmed new content and a desire to haveGalaxiescompete withSW: TORwhenever it is released.
From the interview:
We have many other features planned to support Star Wars Galaxies. We see no reason why the two games can’t exist together.
Nichols then went on to say that some of the problems in Galaxies wouldn’t be repeated inSW: TOR. He also talked about the value inherent in listening to community response as well as what consumers really want out of aStar Warsgame, which just so happens to involvebecoming a heroquickly and effectively.
