What’s in the box?!
We’ve spent the last several months looking at thePlayStation 4from the outside. Now that it’s in homes, the time has come to take a look at what lies within. Here’s a teardown video from iFixit which goes over the process of disassembling the new console and how difficult it’ll be to do things like upgrading the hard drive and cleaning the fan.
Looks pretty simple. The hard drive comes out easily and won’t void your warranty, something Sony’s generally pretty good about. And should you have to crack the console open for some reason, it appears to come apart with a minimum of fuss. Nice.
