After re-watching the trailer, Nintendo certainly made a big deal about how it revealed this specific character. After the character removed their cloak, the music swelled and the camera zoomed in on their face. However, it seems most people assumed it was just Link.

With that said, it seems like a fine time to switch things up for the series. Over the years, there’s been an increasing number ofZeldafans desiring a change of pace and main character for the series. And with the promise of an open world to explore and more choice on how you do so, giving players a brand new look will be a great way to signal change.
