Gas Powered Games lives on

Gas Powered Games, the team behind theDungeon SiegeandSupreme Commanderfranchises, has been bought byWorld of Tankscreator Wargaming.net. Gas Powered Games has had recent trouble staying afloat, with alarge amount of layoffsleading to a recentlycancelled Kickstarter.

Wargaming is going to take full ownership of GPG, including CEO and founder Chris Taylor. Wargaming will look to push harder into multiplatform expansion with this acquisition, though only time will tell what that entails.

Will we ever seeWildmanagain? Is this simply to make theWorld of Tanksand future games bigger and better? It’s hard to know for sure, but at least people still have jobs over at Gas Powered Games, as they are definitely a talented bunch.
