In news I didn’t think I’d be reporting today, Saber Interactive’sWorld War Zhas managed to debut in the number one spot of the UK Charts. The sleeper title released last week to some mixed reviews, but that hasn’t stopped it from pushing past mainstays likeRed Dead Redemption 2andTom Clancy’s The Division 2to take the top spot.
Also debuting in the Top Ten – at number nine – is Maximum Games’Snooker ’19: The Official Video Game. No doubt picked up by folks who fancied potting a tricky pink this bank holiday weekend. Team17’s charming farm adventureMy Time at Portiaalso debuted at number 27, expected for a somewhat niche title.

Elsewhere in the charts, re-entries were made by EA’sAnthemat number 15 and Square Enix’Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remasterat number 20. Tune in next week where, without a doubt,Mortal Kombat 11will find itself sitting snugly at the top of the charts. But for now, kudos to you,World War Z,kudos.
