You’re gonna have to plunk down some cash if you want an early hands-on withMortal Kombat 11. NetherRealm is holding a closed beta soon, and the barrier to entry is a financial one.

The closed beta is planned for March 28 through March 31, which is the weekend of PAX East. Series creator Ed Boon shared some new details over Twitter, including start times for each region:

This beta is closed in more ways than one. Of the four platforms, (PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One) only two will get the closed beta. PS4 and Xbox One — probably the two safest bets forMortal Kombat 11‘s network performance — get the star treatment. We’ll have to wait to see how it runs on PC and Switch, maybe all the way until its April 23 release date.
