Troubled RPG Westward-bound

The latest issue of Japanese publication Famitsu has revealed that dramatic RPGYs VIII: Lacrimosa of Danawill be landing on Nintendo Switch in Japan on June 28.

The latest chapter in the long-runningYsfranchise was released on the PS4 in the West last year, but faced controversy over its poor localisation. This was then followed by hampered efforts to bring the game to PC, with the port, at one, point seemingly abandoned.

Despite the above issues,Ys VIIIwas able to pull itself back together,fixingsome of its localisation woes andsecuringan April release for its debut on PC. The game would go on to receivegreat reviewsfrom both critics and fans.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Danalaunches on Switch in Japan June 28, it is expected to hit the U.S. and Europe this Summer.
